FN Galaxy Swapper began in 2021 as a small open-source tactical fork by a handful of Fortnite players tired of cosmetics costing more than the games they came from. Built on the Galaxy Swapper V2 core engine with an operator-themed HUD interface, the Fortnite Galaxy Swapper community latched on instantly.

The first FN Galaxy Swapper build was rough — a command-line tactical shell, no interface, a fraction of the Fortnite skin library. Within a month we hit our first thousand operators, opened the Galaxy Swapper Discord, and pull requests landed from contributors on three continents.

The Galaxy Swapper V2 rewrite in 2022 put FN Galaxy Swapper on the map — a real tactical interface, live search and a fresh asset engine. By 2023 we were shipping FN Galaxy Swapper compatibility patches within hours of every Fortnite update.
